In today's businesses, we use a lot of different software and we often jump on board new software
but don’t really do a lot of research to see if we need them or not.
Software is not always time-saving or money-saving, so it is very important to make sure you are getting the best from it and that it is fit for purpose.
Most software is updated monthly and it is important to be aware of these updates so you are always using the best new features.
There is factual evidence that some of us only use about 40% to 60% of the software and even more only use 20%. This is often not because it is all need, but because you did not know that the software did other things.
Training should be done on your software regularly. You can use Youtube for the most common software but your main software, you should arrange onsite training for your team. In addition, all new users should be trained as the information that is passed down from others has a tendency to get diluted.
Your software should also be intertwined with your systems and procedures so they all work together, and when you update one you update them all.
I often see clients running software and manual systems side by side, such a lot of work that is normally not needed if their software is set up correctly in the first place.
There are a lot of choices out there in the marketplace but always check if your existing software does what you need before you change.
Give me a call and I can do an audit of your software that you currently use, streamline your processes and systems.
